Scolmore is pleased to announce that Barry Taylor has been promoted to the position of sales director for the Scotland and Northern Ireland regions.
He assumes the new position following a four year period as national sales manager, as well as four years as regional sales manager for the company. During this time with Scolmore he has been instrumental in the continued growth of sales, utilising his in-depth understanding of the expectations and requirements of customers in these regions to deliver targeted support and tailor made solutions.
Barry will head up a team of seven and, in order to offer the best possible service to customers, they will be providing full sales support for all Scolmore Group companies – Scolmore, ESP and Unicrimp. This gives those customers a smoother interaction with Scolmore and easier access to the full range of products that the group has to offer. Scolmore is continually looking at opportunities to improve the way products and services are delivered through the electrical wholesale channel and believe this new sales strategy will provide an enhanced and unrivalled service to its valuable customer base.
Barry is a well-known figure in the electrical industry having worked within the sector for 23 years. He started out with a leading electrical wholesaler, and has spent time with a number of leading industry businesses working with a range of premium wiring accessories and lighting brands.
